Fugro is world leader in geotechnical en structural monitoring. Our offices are based world wide
in more than 50 countries. Fugro has over 10.000 employees of which 200 of them are geotechnical
and structural monitoring specialists. These specialists provide a wide range of services.
GEOTECHNICAL MONITORING
Building activities affect ground conditions, adjacent constructions and the object, which is being
constructed. The impact can cause damage, which is directly noticebale, but it can also cause damage
noticeable and/or developing at a later stage,. Fugro executes a number of measurements during the
various building and operational phases in order to minimize the impact and prevent damage.
Monitoring the behaviour of the sub-soil and of constructions, enables an operating method which would
be risky without this knowledge. We can provide ground instrumentation to monitor a wide range of
geotechnical parameters, such as settlement, pore pressure, displacement etc.
STRUCTURAL MONITORING
For frontier areas, for innovative structures or for particularly critical marine facilities, Fugro
provides instrumentation to fabricators, installers and operators to monitor the response of structures
to loadings of all types and to verify design performance.

Fugro is a world leader in the provision of structural health monitoring systems for long span
bridges. These systems can include many hundreds of sensors distributed over the entire structure.
Typically, the data from this instrumentation is gathered and processed in real-time to provide
the operator with essential information regarding the response of the structure to extreme loading
events.

ROUTINE ON-SITE MEASUREMENTS
Routine on-site measurements include pile testing, noise level measurements, vibration assessments and static,
dynamic and Statnamic load testing.
